WOO HOO, Steven!

I am not going to pretend this is a light week. It is not. It is Juneteenth week, our curation group picks THE pieces on Tuesday, a mural deadline is literally tomorrow, and I haven't even gotten to the open mics and anniversary parties yet. Consider this newsletter a loving shove in the right direction. Let's move.

CURATION SESSION 2: Hope Transforms Possibilities — Selection & Story Order | Tuesday, June 16 — 9–10am We have the nominations. Now we pick. This session is where our curation group selects the 10 pieces that will form the exhibition and arranges them into a narrative arc. Every piece carries part of the story — our job is figuring out which parts, and in what order. Poets, have your audio pre-recorded and ready to share. Come having done three things: 1. Look through the nominations deck and pick 3–4 pieces you'd go to bat for. Know why. 2. Skim the curatorial guidelines — especially the selection criteria and "what to avoid." 3. If you spot something in the PCAP Art Database that belongs and isn't in the deck yet, text or email me before Tuesday at 9am. Can't make it? Email your selections and thoughts before then so your voice is in the room. Join the Zoom
